Too Bright? Too Dark? Reflections and Shadows? Ambient lighting has the potential to confuse 2D robot vision set-ups. No more an issue with Pick-it.
The Pick-it camera uses structured light to calculate the 3D image. Structured light is the process of projecting a known pattern onto a scene. The way that this pattern deforms allows Pick-it to calculate the depth and surface information of the products you want to be picked.
The advantage is that the Pick-it camera can see your products even without any extra light. It even keeps working in the dark.
In short, Pick-it can see and detect black products in a black bin, white products in a white bin and even reflective metal parts.
